'Winds of Winter' Release Date News, Spoilers: Next Book Delayed Again? George R.R. Martin Got 'Writer's Block'

George R.R. Martin previously announced the delay of his highly anticipated book "Winds of Winter" which made the fans morose. However, the sixth book that is supposed to be release early this year is going to be delayed even further to a 2017 release. What happened?

According to Christian Daily, Martin is allegedly experiencing a common phenomenon which is the "writer's block." The rumor is due to the fact that the author has committed in several projects outside "A Song of Fire and Ice."

As a result, another author will give him a helping hand. Another critically- acclaimed fantasy novelist Neil Gaiman, who wrote remarkable books such as "American Gods" will be assisting him in finishing "Winds of Winter."

More than the mentioned book, Gaiman is also the author of "Sandman" graphic novels that bagged several notable awards like the prestigious Eisner awards apart from other 26 unmentioned recognitions. The speculation arose when Gaiman was allegedly spotted hanging out and around Martin's property.

Their collaboration is still unconfirmed, however, Martin reportedly said that he will not be committing on other projects so he could finish "Winds of Winter," as he told Entertainment Weekly.

"I am not writing anything until I deliver WINDS OF WINTER," he declared. "Teleplays, screenplays, short stories, introductions, forewords, nothing... And I've dropped all my editing projects but Wild Cards."

Previously, he apologized for the delay by writing on his online journal that he is the most disappointed person because "Winds of Winter" is not yet finished. Let us wait until the announcement of the release date arrives.
