Windows 10 Project Spartan News: Microsoft Reveals Details about New Internet Browser

Many updates have been made to the Windows 10, and now, Microsoft has revealed some new information regarding Project Spartan, their brand new Internet browser.

Monday, the Windows 10 Technical Preview got a big update with users being able to experiment with the new browser, Spartan. This announcement comes shortly after the company said that Internet Explorer (IE) would be put on the backburner, meaning they would not be updating it anytime soon.

Joe Belfiore from Blogging Windows gave great details in regards to Project Spartan. The first time users heard of it was back in January, but now it looks like Windows is ready to release some specifics to the browser's brand new features.

The personal assistant Cortana will be available through Project Spartan. If there is something a user needs help finding, then it will offer its help. Quite simply, it's a guide for users that would like to help find things on the Internet. For now, Cortana is only available on US versions of the build.

Inking capabilities will also be featured. This feature allows users to compile and save notes as well as share what users have put on a web page. Users can make notes, draw and type directly onto a web page. Sharing all of this will be easy as well using a "Web Note" via mail or a social network.

A Reading List and Reading View will come with the new browser. Reading Lists will collect everything a user wants to read. It will also adhere to different screen size with Reading View, making content easy to read anywhere a user might be.

Project Spartan is available now for PC and larger tablet Windows 10 testers.
