Windows 10 New Update News: Xbox One App Upgraded - Changes and Features

Since the beginning of the year, Windows has been updating the Xbox app for Windows 10, and the March update brings a variety of improvements and new features for users.

The Game Clips feature on the Xbox app for Windows 10 now allows users to view their game clips they created on their Xbox One. They can also directly download the clips from the console to the PC using DVR features found on the console. Watching popular game clips from the Xbox Community are also available.

The activity feed has been updated to allow users to like posts and comments as well as delete own posts from their activity feed. The profile header will be collapsible to make way for more information creating a cleaner profile if so desired.

The search box will be able to find friends by searching for either their gamertag or by real name if that information is available. Users can see what their friends are playing by searching for a game title as well.

Improved window sizing has been added so that now the PC screen will adjust automatically. According to Windows this, "better supports a broader range of PCs with varying screen and windows sizes and serves as a performance improvement to reduce memory.

The PC can now work as a remote control and virtual game controller once it's hooked up to the Xbox One. Users can use their PC to change channels, manage the volume or access their DVR on the console. Recently played games across on Windows 10, Windows Phone, Xbox 360 and Xbox One will now show up on the Xbox app feed as well.

The update is available now for all Windows 10 devices and should update automatically to user's PCs.
