Willow Shields News: 'Hunger Games' Actress Upset about 'Dancing with the Stars' Elimination

Being in a competition can definitely bring someone down for a while especially when you're at the losing end. Just like in last Monday's episode of Dancing With The Stars where 'Hunger Games' actress Willow Shields and her pro dancer partner were eliminated from the competition.

Right after the show, Shields and her dance partner Mark Ballas were interviewed by Access Hollywood and the two were obviously devastated by the results that had them eliminated facing head to head with 'Bachelor' star Chris Soules and pro-dancer Witney Carson.

"Once I knew Chris [Soules] and Witney [Carson] were safe, I knew I was going home, it was a bit of a shocker," Shields shared to Access Hollywood adding, "I had such an incredible night doing the ninja routine [with Mark]. It's hard to have had happen."

Indeed the dancing partners were phenomenal, but unfortunately not enough to make the cut for the week. The actress continued sharing how upset she was in finding out the results. "It was shocking. I got really upset... the only reason I got upset is because I've loved my experience and didn't' really want it to end," she said.

But of course, despite of the frustrations, Shields knew that it was not the end for her, in fact she encouraged herself saying, "It happens though, it's not the end of the world." Meanwhile, Ballas was also very encouraging to his partner sharing what he said to her after losing last Monday.

"I told her, 'Keep your chin up, you'll be alright,'" Ballas shared adding, "I'm so wildly, insanely proud of her... I'm so happy to make a new friend and put out some of my best work yet. I love watching how much she can inspire younger kids and to be a role model to young boys and girls."

Well, the competition would have to move forward of course despite Shield's recent exit. The next episode will air on Monday at 8/7c which will be quite special as it will have a double elimination.
