As Jaden Smith turns 17 years old, his famous parents, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith both posted a shout out on their social media greeting their son who's also now made a name for himself in both his acting and rapping careers.

Just like any other dad, Jaden's dad, Will just had to be silly in greeting his son for his 17^th birthday on his Instagram account posting a cute throwback photo of Jaden back when he was still a toddler goofing around while on a bird cage or hanging chair.

Will wrote as caption, "Jaden is 17 years old today. I'm just glad he stopped eating paste!" on Instagram revealing that his son might have eaten some paste back when he was still a kid.

But now that Jaden's almost independent and nearing the age of maturity, his mom Jada has also a lot to remember and cherish in her own version of a birthday greeting through her Facebook page.

In a motherly point of view, actress Jada greeted her son writing, "To my son," she began. "Today you are 17. It was on this day a tremendous gift was delivered to me. A baby boy, whose existence reflected back to me all the passion, curiosity, love and beauty that only a child could collect from the deepest recesses of his mother's secret heart and breath it into the world. You have made the beauty I could only feel within myself... absolutely tangible. You were not only born from my body... but born from my soul," Jada wrote.

And of course Jada wouldn't post anything embarrassing for her son since she posted a photo of one of Jaden's idols in music, Drake. "You are a light of my heart and a light from my deepest wishes," Jada continued adding, "I am so grateful for you... Here are some pics of you and one of your favorite people. ( You didn't know I had these did you;) ) Happy Birthday Jaden... Ma. Thank you...@sophographylondon for the pics:)))))."
