Wii U News: Nintendo Includes Two More Games To Its Console
Nintendo's Wii U is set to bring two titles to its game ensemble, "Pokemon Snap" and "Axiom Verge."
"Pokemon Snap" is set to come to the Nintendo Wii U in Europe on Aug. 18, Game Spot has learned. The news came from Nintendo Europe's Twitter account.
On Aug. 15, Nintendo's European division wrote on Twitter "#Pokemon Snap arrives on #WiiU Virtual Console on Thursday!"
The tweet did not mention whether the title was set to be released in North America, not to mention that "Pokemon Snap" was released for the Nintendo Wii U in Japan in April, according to Game Spot. As per the publication, it is possible for Nintendo to release the title to Wii U in North America; however, the studio has yet to confirm such details.
"Pokemon Snap" is Nintendo's first person shooting and simulation game and spin-off game in the "Pokemon" series. The title aims to take Pokemon photos with items like pester balls and apples to create better shots; players are set to do this for several rounds. Following each round, the quality of the players' photos will be judged.
In other news, Thomas Happ Games' "Axiom Verge" is also heading to Nintendo's Wii U. In a statement, as cited by the blog Feels Like Coming Home, it is revealed that "Axiom Verge" truly belonged on a Nintendo platform and the Wii U version was the best one, despite the game having been oout for a while.
"Axiom Verge" is Thomas Happ Games' Metroidvania and action-adventure video game. The title assumes the role of scientist Trace, who awakens in an ancient and modern world, following an injury.
"Pokemon Snap" was released for the Nintendo 64 and Wii in Mar. 1999 while "Axiom Verge" was released for the Xbox One, Wii U, Linux, Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, PlayStation Vita, and PlayStation 4 in Mar. 2015.
