'Wentworth' Season 5 Premiere Date, Cast News Update: Who Will Take The Reins For Bea?

"Wentworth" season 5 has become a free-for-all after Bea's death in season 4. Now, there's no news yet on who will replace her as the series lead.

Fans are also scouring the Internet for any hint of news that could point to Bea's death as a trick by writers to get viewers tuning in for season 5.

But Danielle Cormack has reportedly confirmed the news that she won't be back for "Wentworth" season 5. This seemed to be affirmed when the 45-year-old actress accepted the role of a crime investigator who is trying to unravel the mystery of the deaths of young men in Bondi beach.

She also said in an interview with the Daily Telegraph that she juggles motherhood with her work. That means that having two projects like the "Deep Water" and "Wentworth" might not be feasible.

Fans still cling to the hope that Bea will return, however, considering that there's still an unresolved issue at hand in the name of Joan Ferguson, who is seen as responsible for her death in season 4.

"Wentworth" stars Danielle Cormack as Bea Smith, Kate Atkinson as Vera Bennett, Celia Ireland as Liz Birdsworth, Shareena Clanton as Doreen Anderson, Robbie Magasiva as Will Jackson and Katrina Milosevic as Sue 'Boomer' Jenkins.

"Bea Smith is locked up while awaiting trial for the attempted murder of her husband and must learn how life works in prison," the synopsis for the series reads.

The series creators have yet to announce the air date of "Wentworth" season 5.

Watch out for more "Wentworth" season 5 news, which will be published here when any new information comes along.
