'Wayward Pines' Season 3 Cast: Renewal Going To Happen?
While the renewal of the series has not been confirmed yet, "Wayward Pines" season 3 is likely to happen.
At the Television Critics Association press tour, Fox Television Group chairman and CEO Dana Walden shared her thoughts about the possible renewal of "Wayward Pines."
"I definitely think there could be a season three. It's still the number one scripted show of the summer. It struggled. Most shows struggle year to year. We don't know yet what we're going to find when the multi-platform numbers roll up, ultimately how big that audience is. I think I'm sharing a point of view of Night's that the first couple of episodes were trying to find its way in a reset. By sort of the third episode on, it really hit its stride. It's hard when you have to reinvent a series each season," said Walden.
Walden also revealed that they already have a compelling idea for the upcoming season, which she liked very much.
"We're definitely talking about the show right now," she said, further revealing that she had her first conversation with executive producer Night Shyamalan via e-mail over the weekend.
She also suggested that most of the cast members who were left standing until the season 2 finale would return for the third season.
"I would anticipate that some of them would be back, but it's so premature," she said.
"Wayward Pines" season 2 wrapped up on July 27. The series is based on the novels of the same title by Black Crouch.
