"Wayward Pines" season 2 episode 1 is entitled "Enemy Lines." According to Spoilers Guide, the premiere episode revolves on Dr. Theo Yedline, CJ Mitchum, and Megan Fisher.

As per the publication, Dr. Yedlin, who is new in Wayward Pines, wakes up from suspended animation and sees himself at the center of the rebellion. In the episode, he makes an effort to connect things like what Wayward Pines actually is and how the human race will be saved.

Mitchum originally lived in Wayward Pines and as a historian for the town, the character has broad knowledge about the locale's complicated origins. Thus, he is one of the characters who can help fans transition from the previous realm where people lived in and the new world of Wayward Pines.

Meanwhile, Megan Fisher is responsible for the scientific endeavors on the Abbies and she is profoundly inclined in the progress of the hearts and minds of the humanity's future, which is called Wayward Pines' "First Generation."

"Wayward Pines" season 2 showrunner Mark Friedman shared his thoughts on the Abbies. In his interview with TV Line, Friedman said that they were evolved from humans in some way and there were probably some residual human traits that might be part of the world. He added that the only ones fans had seen were males, which means that season 2 may see the rise of female Abbies.
