'Wayward Pines' Season 2 Episode 5 Spoilers: Megan Does Study On The Abbies

Believing that there is something anthropological about the creatures, Megan conducts a study on the Abbies in episode 5 of "Wayward Pines" season 2.

Titled "Sound the Alarm," the episode follows the Wayward Pines Academy teacher as she tries to uncover everything she can about the Abbies by experimenting on the first female creature shown in the season 2 trailer.

While Megan believes that the Abbies are a lost tribe, Jason thinks of them as mere animals. However, it seems that the turn of events in the next episode will prove him wrong. Adam Hassler has lived for 12 years outside the buttresses of Wayward Pines, and he is certain that the creatures are not animals but human surrogates. Having been out of Wayward Pines to explore the remnants of humanity, Hassler seems to know a good deal about the Abbies.

The trailer for the episode shows that Megan is extremely motivated to study the origins of the Abbies not to understand the creatures but to slaughter them. It also shows Hassler talking to Theresa, who plans on spending the rest of her life outside Wayward Pines because she already wants to die. It can be remembered that the Burke matriarch is the only one left in her family.

Fans have yet to know if Theresa's character will bid goodbye to the series soon, as the current season has been incessantly killing off the characters from season 1.

Episode 5 reveals Rebecca's connection with David Pilcher, the founder of Wayward Pines.

"Wayward Pines" season 2, episode 5 aired on June 22.
