Nurse Pam was back to become a lethal threat to Idaho town in episode 3 of "Wayward Pines" season 2.

In the previous episode, food finally reached the residents of Wayward Pines. Being the only surgeon in the town, Dr. Theo Yedlin used his power to get answers from the leader of the town, Jason Higgins. The episode ended with Jason and Kerry on the lookout for Abbies through the surveillance cameras installed near the fence. In the final scene, however, a blood-thirsty Abbie approaches the fence.

Episode 3 saw the return of Nurse Pam, who was previously presumed to be dead. Her decision to murder Pilcher in the final episode of season 1 resulted in the leader putting Pam back in cryogenic sleep. She was then driven out to the outskirts of Wayward Pines and supposed to be dead.

In the episode, Toby Jones reprised his role as David Pilcher but reports say that he will appear only in three or four episodes this season. On the other hand, Melissa Leo will appear throughout the entire season as Nurse Pam.

Meanwhile, a series of flashbacks gave viewers an overview of how and why Jason Higgins was raised to lead the First Generation. In the episode, Jason delved into his past as "the favored child of Wayward Pines."

Episode 3 also followed Theo as he continued to investigate why he was chosen to join the population of the mysterious town in 4032.
