With lots of mind-boggling issues introduced in its pilot episode, "Wayward Pines" season 2 seems to be off to a creepy start.

The episode followed the newly awakened Dr. Theo Yedlin as he was brought by Sheriff Pope into Wayward Pines. While on their way to the hospital, Dr. Theo observed and found out that the little community was under a rebellion against its current leader, Jason Higgins.

Now that Dr. Theo already knows what is happening in the strange town, he will do everything he can to make sense of the events and unravel the mystery of Wayward Pines. He will do these things while he tries to look for answers about his real score with his wife Rebecca, whom he last had an encounter with in Hawaii.

The official trailer for episode 2 shows that Theo will find himself outside the gates of Wayward Pines with the son of Ethan Burke, Ben, and another resident named Xander, who happen to be the leaders of the uprising. Their lives will be laid on the line, since outside the town proper is where the abbies wander on their own accord.

According to "Wayward Pines" executive producer M. Night Shyamalan, three members of the group joining the uprising outside the fence will discover something mind-blowing about the abbies in the upcoming episode.

"You'll see what happens to all three people in the car in upcoming episodes--that's all I want to say--and learn more about what the abbies are doing in the moment. We see they're up to something different. It's confusing," teased Shyamalan.

He also revealed that episode 2 will explore the history of Jason Higgins.

Titled "Blood Harvest," the next episode airs on June 1 on Fox.
