'Watch Dogs 2 News Update': Upcoming Title Abandons Mini Games, Non-Lethal Gameplay

New updates on Ubisoft's "Watch Dogs 2" have surfaced and these include details on the absence of mini games and non-lethal gameplay.

"Watch Dogs 2" game director Danny Belanger revealed that the AR games are not set to come back in the forthcoming game sequel. In his interview with Gaming Bolt, he said that they were offering more city exploration, in which players would open Nethack and discover operations and secrets that would unlock side quests if they wanted.

In line with the absence of the mini games, Ubisoft is set to focus on the multi-player aspect of the title. In the same interview, he mentioned that players were now plart of DedSec or a hacker group, which they had wanted to work together. Also, gamers could be in their single player game and just go and press a button to go into co-op gaming.

For Belanger, they had created operations meant for co-op, as they were challenging and it was good to have a buddy.

The mini games not returning to the "Watch Dogs 2" scene marks another change in the title's game play. Previously, Ubisoft revealed that the forthcoming game sequel is bound to utilize non-lethal play.

In June, Belanger told Gamespot that one of their goals was to support non-lethal. He also mentioned that they were trying to do more that that, but what he could say was non-lethal was definitely possible. For the "Watch Dogs 2" director, it was one of the values they wanted to push in the game.

Ubisoft's "Watch Dogs 2" is set to be released for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Microsoft Windows on Nov. 15.
