'Watch Dogs 2' Release Date, Trailer: Anticipated Sequel Gets March 2017 Release, Accessible On PS4, Xbox One, PC
Along with its game play, the exact release date for the much-anticipated "Watch Dogs 2" has been revealed.
Ubisoft reportedly announced that "Watch Dogs 2," with no specified game subtitle, is set to be launched between 2016 and 2017, in line with its latest financial report, as per PC Advisor UK. According to the publication, the gaming company specified that the upcoming game sequel will be released on Mar. 31, 2017.
Aside from "Watch Dogs 2," other game titles that are going to be released in 2017 include "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands," "South Park: Fractured But Whole," and "For Honor."
"Watch Dogs 2" is set to have radical changes when it hits the market in 2017. In his interview with CVG in 2015, Ubisoft Creative Vice President Lionel Raynaud said that "Watch Dogs" had had a lot of flaws in the replay ability of gameplay loops, adding that it had really felt like the first chapter of a series. He also said that there were parts of the game that would need to change.
Developed and published by Ubisoft, "Watch Dogs" is an open world action-adventure third-person stealth video game. It is set in a fictionalized Chicago, Illinois and centers on a hacker and his exploits to avenge the murder of his niece. The game allows players to explore Chicago in an open world, which includes the countryside, the urban, and the downtown's run-down neighborhoods.
The game was released globally in 2014 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows, which was followed by a Wii U iteration in November 2014.
"Watch Dogs 2" is set to be accessible on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
