'Watch Dogs 2' News: New Way Of Unlocking Maps According To Game Director

All avid fans of Ubisoft games sould be able to tell the trend of being able to unlock places through climbing buildings and such. From "Assassin's Creed," to "Far Cry" and as well as "Watch Dogs." However, this time around, there might be something different coming up regarding this feature from the upcoming "Watch Dogs 2" video game.

According to Euro Gamer, director Jonathan Morin share some information about this feature. Since the game is not about climbing towers and such, the developers of the game thought that it would not be necessary to incorporate that style of unlocking maps and places into the game.

"It's not a game where you open your map and everything's there. There are no towers. You just explore the world," Morin said.

Morin also said that the way to unlock the world is to continue venturing around it as the gamer's followers get bigger in numbers. "Players start with a few followers in [hacker group] DedSec but pretty soon you realise you're going to need more if you want to pull off big operations. So you start free-roaming," Morin added.

"Every time you get followers, it's like you're unlocking the DedSec hivemind. You're also unlocking new knowledge, new operations, new co-op missions. And then organically you hit those end-game milestones."

Also according to STARTLR, the game's driving model will be updated. Gamer director Danny Bangler said that their goal with this one is to "give players a guidance system" which would be really "accessible and fund." That feature should also be perceived as "realistico."

"Watch Dogs 2" is set to be launched on November 15 and will be available on the PlayStation4, Xbox One and the PC.
