The Washington Capitals will battle the Carolina Hurricanes on February 27 at the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The game will start at 7:00 pm ET and can be watched online through live stream via the link provided below (free for subscribers).
The Capitals (33-19-10) are trying to stop a possible three game losing streak when they encounter the Hurricanes on Friday night.
The Capitals were defeated by the Metropolitan division foe the Pittsburgh Penguins by the final score 4-3, where Washington defenseman John Carlson had a goal and an assist in a losing effort on February 25.
"(Pittsburgh) had a good focus coming in, never allowed us to get back on track," said Washington head coach Barry Trotz to reporters.
"It was an ugly game to watch in terms of the way we played, and then the number of penalties on both sides."
Meanwhile, the Hurricanes (22-30-7) are looking to stretch their current winning streak two games when they host the Capitals at the PNC Arena.
"The guys wanted to make sure that it was a memorable night for Cam [Ward]," said Hurricanes head coach Bill Peters to reporters in reference to how many games his goalie has played in his career.
"500, and look at the group (of goalies) he's [associated] with, Stanley Cup winners, Olympians, Conn Smythe winners. He's in tall cotton there. And he's been real good here. He's elite in my opinion. I love the way he handles the puck and I love his demeanor."
Recently, the Hurricanes defeated the Philadelphia Flyers by a final score of 4-1, where Carolina defenseman Justin Faulk had a goal and an assist in the victory on February 24.
"I had that sense it was a special night," said Hurricanes goalie Cam Ward to reporters after making 23 saves in the 500th game of his career.
"In the first period I was a little bit jittery, but the puck was bouncing off me a little bit. I was really able to calm down in the second and third and felt a lot more relaxed. It was clear our guys wanted to put in a really strong effort and I appreciate that."
The game begins at 7:00 pm ET and can be viewed on TV on the NHL Center ICE network or online through live stream by clicking here.
