Warner Bros. News: Studio Signs Deal with IMAX Theaters to Remaster 'Tentpole Films'
Recent news has suggested that Warner Bros. is looking to expand on the viewing experience of their movies.
They've recently signed a deal with IMAX Corporation that promises all of the studios "tentpole films," including their DC Comics film, will be digitally remastered for their theaters through 2020.
"Upcoming films that fall under the IMAX deal include (in order of theatrical release), The Man from U.N.C.L.E., In the Heart of the Sea, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, David Yates' Tarzan movie, Guy Ritchie's King Arthur movie, Suicide Squad, Geostorm, J.K. Rowling's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Jungle Book: Origins, and Godzilla 2," writes IGN.
This deal goes into affect now, and encompasses "upcoming DC tentpoles," as well as the LEGO movie series.
This should bring another element of excitement to the newly announced slate of DC films yet to arrive.
