Warner Bros. New Trailer News: Studio Releases ‘Suicide Squad’ Trailer at Comic-Con [VIDEO]

Warner Bros. Pictures released a trailer of 'Suicide Squad' at the San Diego Comic-Con on Monday raising some sort of a storm at the event. In fact, a low quality trailer of the movie was leaked online a few days back and it is believed that the leak prompted Warner Bros. to release the full-length trailer.

A report in IB Times stated that the cast of the upcoming movie includes Jared Leto as the Joker; Will Smith as Deadshot; Margot Robbie in the role of Harley Quinn; and Cara Delevingne portraying in Enchantress. The newly released trailer features the Joker and the remaining members of the gang of strange criminals from the DC Comics universe who are prepared to save the world.

Fans can see the trailer ending with the Joker saying, "I'm not going to kill you. I'm just going to hurt you really, really bad."

According to the report, it would certainly be interesting to watch how Leto performs as the Joker - a character engraved in people's minds following Heath Ledger's portrayal of the villain in the 2008 Batman movie, 'he Dark Knight.'

Warner Bros Pictures president (Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution), Sue Kroll criticized the pirated version of the footage leaked online, while releasing the trailer on the 'Suicide Squad' official Facebook page.

Kroll stated, "Warner Bros. Pictures and our anti-piracy team have worked tirelessly over the last 48 hours to contain the 'Suicide Squad' footage that was pirated from Hall H on Saturday... Today, we will release the same footage that has been illegally circulating on the web, in the form it was created and high quality with which it was intended to be enjoyed."

According to Kroll, the company wanted to "keep the footage as a unique experience for the Comic Con crowd."

'Suicide Squad,' directed by David Ayer, is scheduled to hit cinemas on Aug. 5, 2016.
