‘Warcraft’ Movie Trailer, Spoilers, Cast: Duncan Jones’ Film To Share ‘Star Wars’ Cinematic Effects

Duncan Jones' upcoming video game-based film "Warcraft" is coming to theaters soon and it is set to share the same effects with "Star Wars." Also, cast member Travis Fimmel shared his thoughts on interacting with a CGI character.

In his interview with Mtime (via Cross Map), Jones said that the people working on the "Warcraft" effects are the same people who had done the effects for "Star Wars" film franchise. He added that the effects were being done by ILM, with "Life of Pi" visual effects supervisor Bill Westernhoffer supervising.

Meanwhile, Fimmel, who is playing the role of Sir Anduin Lothar in Jones' film compared the Vikings' brutal nature with Warcraft's more sophisticated nature. In his interview with IGN, Fimmel said that they fighting style was very different and there is ll of those effects in "Warcraft."

Fimmel also related his experience in working against an actor together with the heavy visual effects. In the same interview, the actor said that he would have rather been talking with a person face-to-face, implying that interacting with CGI had not been his favorite way of working.

With regard the costume, Fimmel said that it was like wearing a table, so it was not nimble. The actor added that it was very "visually based."

Based on the video games series "Warcraft," the film of the same name is set to showcase a three-dimensional epic adventure of a world-colliding conflict. Set in the world of Azeroth, the film centers on the events before there was conflict between the Humans of Stormwind and the Orcish Horde.

Aside from Fimmel, "Warcraft" also found Toby Kebbel, Robert Kazinsky, Clancy Brown, Dominic Cooper, Paul Patton, and Ben Foster, among others.

With Jones set to helm the film, Charles Leavitt and Chris Metzen are on board to co-pen the film's screenplay. Nicholas Carpenter, Michael Morhaime, Brent O'Connor, Paul Sams, and Jillian Share will co-produce the film, among others. Bill Westenhoffee, Ang Lee, and Jeff White are in charge of special effects while Ramin Dwajadi is set to score the film.

Jones' "Warcraft" is set to premiere in theaters in the United States on June 10, 2016.
