'The Walking Dead' Season 5 Episode 6 Spoilers: 'Consumed' Series Goes Back to its Roots, Major Character Death
In the wake of the latest episode of 'The Walking Dead', which aired on Sunday night November 9, fans are wondering what's in store in the upcoming episode. By now, viewers have caught on that Rick's group has been split up into three fragments, and each episode focuses on one piece entirely.
Season 5 Episode 6, entitled "Consumed," will air on November 16, and will focus on Daryl and Carol's quest to save Beth from her captors.
According to the official synopsis, as posted by IBTimes, "members of the group must go on a rescue mission in a familiar location." Evidently, the "members" in the equation here are Daryl and Carol, as they are the only ones who are shown in the Season 5 Episode 6 promo clip.
In the clip, the two are seen fighting off walkers in what seems to be a major city. Considering the synopsis, some are of the view that the show will be stepping back to its roots and showcase the survivors in Atlanta.
In regards to writers returning the series to what it once was, sources have laid claim that fans should expect more major character deaths as Season 5 moves along. For a while now, viewers haven't been exposed to much heartbreak in terms of seeing their favorite characters slain on the show.
On a side note, the most recent losses to Rick's group, include Bob, who died peacefully at the beginning of Season 5, and Hershel, who was decapitated toward the end of Season 4.
Now, there's another character that's been speculated to meet his end, and it's surely going to bring about some strife from the fan base. According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry Glenn will be the next major character that's killed off.
While the exact episode of his possible death has not been spoiled, or whether or not his death will be substituted by Maggie's, fans should expect at least one major character to be written from the show.
Stepping into the latest episode, "Self-Help," viewers should note that a major plot line to the story has been interrupted. In Episode 5, Eugene revealed that he is not a scientist and that he knows of no cure for the pandemic disease. This means that Abraham and company's quest to Washington is now pointless.
Taking that into account, some fans feel that the characters who've lost their purpose (Rosita, Eugene) are at risk to be cut from the show as well.
