'Walking Dead' Season 5 Episode 14 Recap: Fan Favorite Characters Killed off in 'Spend'

Sunday's episode of "The Walking Dead" left fans both devastated and relieved as more characters were killed off.

In an attempt to return power to some Alexandrian homes and get supplies, Glenn, Tara, Noah and Eugene head out with Aidan and Nicholas. Despite the past, Glenn is willing to team up with the latter two in an effort to help their fellow townspeople. Their search for parts to get the electric grid running again leads them to a supply store.

As the team gathers supplies, a zombie equipped with explosives enters the warehouse. Instead of waiting for a plan, Aidan starts shooting and the zombie blows up. Aidan is impaled by blast debris and Tara gets a head wound.

Nicholas, Glenn, Noah and Eugene are then left to fend off the rest of the zombie hoard that has now surrounded them. Eugene makes it out of the building with Tara while the others try to rescue the still-breathing-for-now Aidan. Their efforts prove fruitless and Aidan is left to be devoured by the Walkers. Some fans of the show are relieved that Aidan is finally gone since he was a jerk to many people and didn't follow orders.

Trying to meet back up with Eugene, Nicholas attempts to leave the store through the front but is trapped. After Glenn and Noah run out of bullets, they help Nicholas by blocking themselves with a revolving door, each of them trapped in a door slot.

Eugene arrives with a van to try and distract the zombie hoard. Glenn tells the others that he will break the glass so all three escape at once, but Nicholas instead pushes his side open and is freed. This leaves Noah open to the Walkers and devastated fans watched another favorite character die. Glenn makes it to out and runs for the van.

The rest of the team makes it back safely, but the causalities pay a heavy toll on their morale.
