'Walking Dead' News: Actress Recieves Jail Time, Shannon Richardson Mails Ricin Laced Letters
In breaking news this week, one of the actresses who has had a small part in the 'Walking Dead' TV series, was found guilty of mailing ricin laced letters to Michael Bloomberg, the president of a major gun control group. Ricin is a poison that can be very harmful if touched or swallowed.
Shannon Richardson was also producing the ricin, which added on more time to her sentence and a lot more out of pocket fees that she has to pay. Apparently, the actress simply bought the ingredients to make ricin online. She mailed three separate letters in 2013 and then went to the police and told them that her husband was the one who mailed the letters.
The labels that were on the letters were printed from their home and her husband did not know that she had planned on sending them out at all. On a side note, reports say that he has since filed for divorce.
Richardson told the judge that she loves her country and she never meant any harm by sending these letters. She was just ready for some changes in government and gun control laws. The letters that she sent said "What's in this letter is nothing compared to what I've got in store for you Mr. President. You will have to kill me and my family before you get my guns. Anyone wants to come to my house will get shot in the face."
The actress has had small parts in both the 'Blind Side' and 'The Walking Dead'. She will be serving 18 years in prison and will be paying over $367,000 in fines.
