'The Walking Dead' Mid-Season Premiere Promo Trailer: AMC Releases New Season 5 Teaser [VIDEO]

Fans of 'The Walking Dead' will be excited to learn that AMC has just released a promo trailer for the return of the series in its mid-season 5 premiere. As it stands, the show will be back on the air Feb. 8th to wrap up its fifth season.

The trailer is titled "Surviving Together", and features the group in a combat scene played out in slow motion, however it is never revealed who they appear to be fighting.

"The trailer features Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his rag-tag group fighting their way through a foggy forest, with Rick reminding them all via voiceover that 'surviving together is all that matters'. We see Michonne (Danai Gurira) draw her trademark samurai sword in preparation for a fight, along with Maggie (Lauren Cohan), Glen (Steven Yeun), and Daryl (Norman Reedus) laying down some serious firepower," writes Yahoo TV.

The show's mid-season finale ended on a solemn note, as their only perceived means of curing the outbreak had been revealed to all been a lie. Survival for the group has not meant as much as it will mean for them in this part of the season, as the trailer suggests.

A short teaser at the end of mid-season finale revealed a character who we can expect to become more active in the season's return.

"Fans of the series will also recall that Rick's former ally, Morgan (Lennie James), has been getting closer and closer to finding his group. A post-credit scene in the mid-season finale featured Morgan arriving at the church just after Rick and the others had departed. Though it seemed unlikely their paths would cross, Morgan finds a map bearing Rick's name, hinting that he may finally catch up to them in the second half of the season," writes Yahoo TV!.
