The Walking Dead star, Sonequa Martin Green, has made the headlines as she has given birth to her first child with Kenric Green. The newborn little Green is a healthy baby boy whom they named Kenric Justin Green II, after his father.

Kenric Green the Second was born on Saturday and weighed in at just over 8 lbs. Sonequa and senior Kenric were ecstatic.

"We thank God for this incredible blessing," the new parents proclaimed, "We are overjoyed. He's the coolest little man ever."

His cool genes just might come from his mother, who is known for her recurring roles on the drama, The Good Wife, and the hit fairy-tale series, Once Upon a Time. The Green family announced that they were expecting in September, just in time for Sonequa to wrap up her filming of the thriller series, The Walking Dead.

Fans have been extremely supportive of the zombie-smashing couple. "Kenric and I are beyond excited," Sonequa had reported, "There's nothing like running around fighting zombies in the Georgia heat to stay in shape while pregnant."

Now the real question is: will the birth of her new baby affect her role on the AMC series?

Sonequa has been careful not to spill any secrets, but we have our suspicions. Season 6 shooting will begin in April or May of this year, and that will be too soon for our Walking Dead star to work off her baby bump. Fingers crossed, we could see a pregnancy in the storyline!
