'Vikings' Season 4 Spoilers: Second Half Of Season To Show Battle Between The Women In Ragnar's Life?

The mid-season finale of History Channel's Vikings Season 4 left Ragnar Lothbrok in big trouble. After returning home defeated, Ragnar's story is far from over.

Show creator and writer Micheal Hirst hinted a year ago that season 4 will see a "final reckoning between the brothers." This means that Ragnar intends to kill his brother Rollo, or the other way around.

The battle on who gets to rule Kattegat does not end there as Queen Aslaug might betray her husband. After being a supportive wife to Ragnar, it might be high time that Aslaug will want to see her sons take over the rule. This might further hold true as she sees Ragnar unfit to rule Kattegat because of his depression.

After having confirmed that Katheryn Winnick's Lagertha is still alive, it is also a possibility that she might also want to claim power, along with her son, Bjorn. This is after they saw that Ragnar is too addicted to drugs to continue his privilege as the ruler.

In the end, the return of season 4 might not be about Ragnar at all, but instead a battle for power between the women in Ragnar's life.

Vikings is expected to return to the History Channel in July.
