'Vikings' Season 4 Release Date, Spoilers, Trailer: Ragnar Starts 2016 With Betrayal [WATCH]
Betrayal is the name of the game in "Vikings" season 4, according to recent spoilers.
Aside from betrayal, the upcoming 2016 is set to start off with lies, treachery, and divsion of friendship and brotherhood for Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) and the Vikings in "Vikings" season 4, according to Crossmap.
The Vikings managed the Frankia knights, as the latter group was caught off-guard by the attack of the former. Along with this, Ragnar found out the deepest secrets of his fellow Viking, which includes his trustee, Floki. With Ragnar alarmed by the secrets of the people whom he considered brothers, it is assumed that his trust to them has been broken.
In the "Vikings" storyline, Ragnar pretended to be dead after becoming a Christian while he trusted his eldest child to execute his plans of invading the untraversable city of Frankia. In fact, he indicated on his last will that his body should be buried in a Christian way.
"Vikings" season 4 is also set to see either Ragnar's second wife Queen Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland) or son Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) taking over his crown, according to Vine Report. The publication added that between Aslaug and Bjorn, the latter will be favored for the crown.
Fans are also going to witness the consequences of Rollo's choice to have a formal agreement with West Francia Emperor Charles (Lothaire Bluteau) and the new paths to be undertaken by his new alliance.
"Vikings" season 4 will also have 20 episodes, as previously announced by A&E network. The series will air the first have of the entire set prior to its midseason break and returns with the second half in the latter part of 2016.
"Vikings" season 4 is set to return in televisions on Feb. 18, 2016 on History Channel.
