'Vikings' Season 4 Episode 2 Entitled 'Kill the Queen;' Princess Gisla Tries To Kill Rollo On Wedding Day?
The second episode of "Vikings" season 4 is entitled "Kill the Queen." The synopsis for the next episode reads:
"Ragnar and Floki are still at odds; Rollo makes great attempts to win over his new bride, Princess Gisla; Bjorn's survival skills are put to the test; King Ecbert (Linus Roache) sets the task for his son Aethelwulf (Moe Dunford) to rescue Queen Kwenthrith (Amy Bailey)."
According to Design & Trend, when Ragnar was still in the process of recovery, Floki was arrested for murdering Athelstan, played by George Blagden. However, Ragnar was not happy that Bjorn was the one to do it for him. Also, Bjorn went on a solo journey outside Kattegat to find out if he could survive the wilderness and the deadly temperature of winter.
Meanwhile, Aslaug bought a slave (played by Dianne Doan). This woman slave that he had brought with him from Paris must have a big role heading in to the second season but as of now, the show has not showcased any trait from her character.
In other happenings, there seems to be a conflict happening with regards to the earldom with Lagertha. Einar, played by Steve Wall, spoke to Kalf and told him that he and Erlendur, played by Edvin Endre, were against the decision to share the earldom.
Also, Gisla, played by Morgane Polanski, tried to kill Rollo on the very night of their wedding. But all attempts weren't successful and she may even fall for Rollo eventually.
"Vikings" season 4 episode 2 airs Thursday, February 25th, only on History.
