'Vikings' Season 4 News Update: Who Will Take Ragnar’s Place?; Legartha Returns To Regain Her Throne?

It looks like someone is set to take Ragnar's place in "Vikings" season 4. Also, talks about his wife Legartha forthcoming season have risen.

According to Zap2it, King Ecbert is set to use son Magnus the good in order to gain control in Mercia. Whether this becomes real is yet to be revealed. As per the publication, Ecbert presently has the Ragnar's son with Queen Kwenthrith.

It can be recalled in the previous episodes that an Envoy disclosed to Bjorn and Queen Aslaug that Ragnar bore a son to the Kwenthrith. This means that Ragnar committed adultery, not to mention that he also lied about burning a Viking village in Wessex.

Previously, it is rumored that Ivar the Boneless could most likely take Ragnar's place, according to Movie News Guide. Aside from Ivar, there are also talks that Bjorn set to rise as Ragnar's heir, but the concept is cloudy at the moment as the latter is traversing the Mediterranean oceans, along with Helga and Floki.

In other news, someone is set to come back in "Vikings" season 4. According to Chat Sport Net, Ragnar's former wife Legartha is set to return in the season. As per the publication, Legathra is bound to come face to face with Aslaug and fight her to regain her throne.

"Vikings" creator Michael Hirst also shared his view on Legartha's fate. It can be recalled that the character was stabbed by Aslaug in season 3. In a statement, as cited by the publication, Hirst said that a feminist collective in New York have written to him couple years ago that they did not care how many male characters were killed off, but if he did anything to Lagertha, he would be in trouble.

"I'm very careful about that warning," Hirst said.

"Vikings" season 4 is assumed to return on July 6 on History Channel.
