'Vikings' Season 4 Episode 11 Spoilers, Preview: Ragnar Returns As the King of Kattegat
"Vikings" season 4 is currently on a hiatus and rumors have it that it won't be back until July. While waiting for the midseason premiere, fans can try to make sense of all the crazy theories and spoilers about what will happen in the next installment, especially to Ragnar.
In its previous episode, viewers got to witness one of the biggest battles between Ragnar and Rollo. The battle was so big it changed the history of the Norsemen. It also saw the escape of the King of Kattegat along with Legartha and his son Bjorn.
Years had passed since The Last Ship and Rollo was pleasantly received by King Charles and Gisla. Unfortunately for Ragnar, he lost his people's trust and his son began to hold a grudge against him for failing him at the battle in Paris. However, Ragnar posed a challenge to his sons---whoever succeeds in killing him will be hailed as the King of Kattegat.
While fans were a bit disappointed at how Ragnar's powerful character ended in the first half of the season, show creator Michael hinted at his possible return to Kattegat.
"Ragnar's comeback is for a purpose. He has to fulfill that purpose, and he does fulfill that purpose," he said.
He added that fans will see more of Ragnar in the next season, so there is nothing to feel bad about.
"You wait until you see the next season. Ragnar's story is nowhere near the end. Nowhere near the end, and it's just an amazing, onward story. It may be the story of the rise and fall of a hero--it still counts as a fall, I suppose--but some of my best work and Travis' work comes in the next half of the season," he teased.
Reports say that "Vikings" season 4 episode 11 will premiere after the airing of the last episode of "Game of Thrones" season 6 in July.
