[VIDEO]: Colton Dixon, One Republic and Keith Urban Perform On 'American Idol' Thursday Night

Thursday night's American Idol Top 8-elimination show was filled with special guest performances, two of which were Idol alums.

Season 11 finalist, and outspoken Christian artist, Colton Dixon rocked the Idol stage to debut his latest single, "Love Has Come For Me" off of his debut album A Messenger.

Colton Dixon's performance last night makes him the third former American Idol contestant to return to the show. Last week's results show saw Jessica Sanchez, also a former Idol contemporary to Dixon, debut her new single "Tonight" featuring singer/songwriter Ne-Yo.

Earlier in Season 12, Idol winner (and president of the Dave Matthews fan club) Phillip Phillips stopped by the Idol stage to perform his follow-up single "Gone, Gone, Gone" and also received a 4x platinum plaque for his debut hit, "Home."

One Republic also performed during the show. Featuring Season 5 runner-up, One Republic debuted their newest single, "If I Lose Myself" off the band's upcoming album Native.

American Idol judge Keith Urban pulled out the telecaster on fan favorite, "Long Hot Summer."
