Verizon Unlimited Data Plan News: Network Treats Users Free Service With Always On Data?

Verizon users are set to enjoy and be satisfied with the company's latest reveal, the Always-On Data.

Always-On Data is an iteration of the Safety Mode for Verizon's prepaid customers, according to FierceWireless. As per the publication, this does not involve extra charges and ignores the type of prepaid plan the subscriber has.

It is known that Safety Mode lets users to prevent overage fees through data speed throttling following the consumption of their monthly data. In this regard, it is revealed that those who subscribed to the XL and XXL plans do not have to play any additional monthly fee, but those on S, M, and L plans have to play an additional $5 per month in order to secure Safety Mode.

Verizon has three prepaid plan offers for smartphone users. As per reports, they include unlimited talk and text in the United States and unlimited text to Mexico and Canada. Its Wi-Fi only data plan is $30 per month while 3GB of LTE data and mobile hotspot capability is at $45 per month. Meanwhile, its 6GB of LTE data plan with mobile hotspot and unlimited calls to Mexico and Canada is $60 per month.

With Always-On Data, users who are subscribed to any data plan will be able to enjoy browsing the internet, without worrying on how much they have to pay for the service.

As per Yahoo, Verizon received criticisms from mobile users as it reportedly increased the prices of its current data plans. However, the company debunked the rumors, as the price per gigabyte was reduced. This means that customers are not set to see an increase from $30 to $50 per month unless their two-year contracts have expired. Nonetheless, the price increase is reportedly set to begin on Aug. 21.

Overall, Verizon's Always-On Data commenced on July 17.
