Val Kilmer News: Former Batman Actor Released after 2-Week Stay in Hospital; Posts Selfie
After a mysterious hospitalization, Hollywood actor Val Kilmer is finally out of the hospital; he had been confined for two weeks. Kilmer announced the news over Facebook, and posted a selfie, saying he is finally free.
"This was taken after I left the hospital yesterday afternoon. Freedom!!!! Thanks again for all of your love and support. I'm so grateful," Kilmer gratefully wrote on his Facebook page as he posted his photo wearing a hoody and a big smile.
The actor's hospitalization was quite a mystery for all since Kilmer, during his two-week stay at the UCLA ICU didn't exactly mention the actual cause of his health problems. Although previously, the actor announced that he had a complication that is requiring him to stay under close monitoring.
"Thank you for all your sweet support. But I have not had a tumor, or a tumor operations, or any operation. I had a complication where the best way to receive care was to stay under the watchful eye of the ucla ICU," Kilmer announced last January 31.
"Friends have assisted who know my spiritual convictions and have been most sensitive and kind for the extra effort in making sure there's minimum gossip and silly talk. I am praying for a speedy return to the boards as they say. God bless you all and please don't worry. Love and deep affection , Val," he added.
Speaking of gossip, the actor also had a little conflict with one US magazine that apparently reported wrong facts about his hospitalization. Kilmer right away clarified and discredited the report. "Please direct any concerned friends you may have that want to know how I'm doing to this sight [sic]," Kilmer wrote.
"You all know it's me talking, and you all know if it's different 'facts' in USA TODAY they are not telling the truth because they are trying to sell a story that sells more magazines. Or whatever they sell nowadays. I've been quiet about my health because it's my business. Even my weight has ended up demanding me to 'respond' because my weight loss was presented in a negative way," he added to clarify the rumors.
Meanwhile, Kilmer is reportedly at home and in a healing environment announcing again on his Facebook: "Thank you all for your prayers, love and support. I'm so happy to say, the emergency that lead me to dial 911 is well over and I'm out of the hospital and in a safe healing environment," Kilmer wrote.
