Usher is finally engaged to longtime girlfriend and business partner Grace Miguel.

An insider close to the couple said that Miguel is happy but the pair would like to remain private regarding the engagement. The couple was recently seen at the Golden Globe Awards and Miguel wore a huge diamond ring.

Usher kept the relationship out of the spotlight and only revealed some details in October last year. The "Confessions" singer said that he has an "incredible partner and manager." He added that Miguel has helped him especially during the most difficult times of his personal and career life and has supported him in all aspects from the beginning.

Before Usher's relationship with Miguel, the singer was married to stylist Tameka Foster from 2007 to 2009. The relationship was described by Usher as his "best mistake" since he learned a lot form it although it ended up in divorce.

The "Yeah" singer was given primary custody by the court for their two sons. After going through the separation, Usher gained more wisdom and even remembered the best advice he received from James Brown.

"If you stay ready, you aren't going to get ready" was Brown's message to Usher that stuck with him throughout the years. It is the same advice that Usher gives to other people who consult him regarding relationships.

The R&B star valued family more after the messy divorce and revealed that he enjoys reunions with relatives. Usher shared that simple celebrations such as having fried chicken and drinking in plastic cups are way better.

Usher has also been active in his foundation for youth education, which is called "New Look." In July 2014, he hosted a fund raising event for his movement as a celebration for its 15th anniversary. Some of his celebrity friends such as Sugar Ray Leonard, Kenny Leon and Jermaine Dupri attended the event.

As for his music career, Usher is reportedly set to release his long awaited album "UR" in 2015.
