Urban Contemporary Gospel Group Livre’ Releases New Worship Single, “Amazing”
Glory 2 Glory Records/MBK Entertainment Recording Artist LIVRE' (pronounced liv-RAY) has been making their mark in the Gospel music industry since the release of their single, "I Will Be Alright". The bouncy and motivational cut wowed audiences nationwide. Peaking in the Top 20 on the Billboard Hot Gospel Songs Chart, the song saw the six Bronx-born singers crooning their way up the charts. Recently featured on VH1's "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta", LIVRE' is set to do it again with a brand new single called "Amazing".
Just in time to celebrate God's "Amazing" gift to mankind, LIVRE' delivers their second single, an unforgettable song. The moving worship anthem showcases the incomparable vocal prowess of LIVRE'. Highlighting the miraculous nature of God, "Amazing" isn't just the name of their new release, but it's the perfect word to describe how the group feels about the Lord. Group member Richard Tolbert has his own powerful testimony of deliverance.
"For me, 'Amazing' is my life story," says Tolbert. "Even though I am only 25 years old, I have been through a lot in my life. I was told that I wouldn't make it to 25. I have been abused, struggled with suicidal thoughts and had major health challenges, but I am still here. It's because I serve an AMAZING God." When the group laid down the tracks for the song, they all knew something special was happening. "When we recorded the song, we had a worshipful time in the studio," recounts Richard. "Even when we were shooting the video for the song, people who were watching the shoot were lifting their hands in worship to God."
Consisting of Ajanee Hambrick, Ariel Malloy, Cree Rey, Malik Spence, Kenneth Williams and Tolbert, LIVRE' is known for tight harmonies, impeccable delivery and unforgettable songs. An urban contemporary Gospel ensemble, LIVRE' takes the rhythm of the street and mixes it with pure inspiration. LIVRE', which means "free" in Portuguese, was co-founded by music industry veterans Jeff Robinson and Conrad Robinson.
Formed after an impromptu singing engagement, LIVRE' sang background vocals on Keys' song, "How Does It Feel To Fly" from her critically-acclaimed 2009 CD, The Element of Freedom. With memorable television appearances on VH1's "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta", FOX Morning News in Columbia, SC, and ABC's Grace & Glory in Baltimore, LIVRE' shows that Christianity doesn't have to be stuffy; they want to show the new generation that "God is cool".
