Uplay Special Weekend: Ubisoft Offers 7 Free Titles For PC

After unleashing their 30 Days of Giveaways last month to celebrate 30 years in the industry, Ubisoft revealed yet another surprise gift for gamers this Christmas season.

According to reports the first day of the 30 Days of Giveaways started off just fine with the mobile version of "Rayman."

With the recent announcement of the seven (7) free Ubisoft titles for PC, however, it turned out that the game developer actually had a final surprise in store for gamers.

Until Dec. 18, gamers could avail of seven free Ubisoft games for PC. The free titles are old titles but are sure to still offer fun gameplay. These titles were "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time," "Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell," "Rayman Origins," "The Crew," "Beyond Good & Evil," "Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon," and "Assassin's Creed."

Gamers who wished to avail of the seven free titles only had to sign up for a Uplay account and install the Uplay desktop app. The price to pay is but small for seven free games, especially since the Uplay app is also available on the Xbox and PlayStation consoles where gamers are free to collect and redeem points in game and other items without charge.

Ubisoft has been running its "Ubi 30 Giveaways" since June, with each of the games available free for one month during that time. As of this writing, the final game was "Assassin's Creed 3," so players who won't take advantage of the Special Weekend will still have the chance to get that title for free through the end of December.
