Upcoming Huawei Smartphone Release Date News, rumors: Mate 7 Mini Or Mate 7 Plus May Arrive in September
Some time back, the credible tipster @evleaks posted an image of an upcoming Huawei smartphone on his Twitter page. According to a Chinese source, the device may be either the Huawei Mate 7 Mini or the Huawei Mate 7 Plus, which is slated for release on Sept. 2 at the upcoming IFA 2015 trade event.
Quoting a report in the Chinese tech website Mobile Dad, IB Times states that the upcoming Huawei Mate 7 Plus or Huawei Mate 7 Mini will come with the model No. CRR-UL00. Meanwhile, Phone Arena has revealed the configuration details of the device it collected from the AnTuTu benchmark testing site.
According to the details in the AnTuTu site, the upcoming Huawei device will supposedly sport a pocket-friendly 4.7-inch display, equipped with 1,080-by-1,920 pixel screen resolution. It means that this display combination translates to a pixel density of 469 ppi. It is expected that the upcoming smartphone will be powered by Huawei's own Kirin chipset together with an octa-core, 64-bit processor. The Malu-T624 GPU is likely to take care of the graphics and it will be supported by 3GB of RAM.
According to reports, the Mate 7 handset is likely to feature a 13-megapixel rear-facing Sony IMX278 sensor as well as a fingerprint scanner. In terms of software, the new smartphone will run on Google's Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS.
As far as the design is concerned, it appears that the Huawei Mate 7 Mini or Huawei Mate 7 Plus will come with a full-metal build. The report further said the Chinese tech giant initially planned to introduce the Force Touch technology, which appears in Apple Watch, but it dropped the plan later.
Meanwhile, Huawei is yet to confirm the specifications of the Mate 7 Plus or Huawei Mate 7 Mini.
