In a novel move, Universal Studios has introduced a 'Fast and Furious' rise in Hollywood for all the fans of the hugely popular movie franchise. Officially, the ride has been named "Fast and Furious Supercharged" and fans of the 'Fast and Furious' franchise will get a unique opportunity to experience it on Thursday alongside the cast and crew members of the recently released 'Fast and Furious 7.'

Latin Post reports that this ground-breaking new ride engrosses the fans into the steam-charged exhilaration of being a character of the film, rather than being a spectator. The ride employs avant-garde technology with 3D-HD imagery along with the ride itself, which pride on speeds of up to 120 MPH.

According to the website, in reality, the 3D-HD imagery is a 360-degree screen that gives the rider a feeling of being a part of the action. In addition, the attraction also features the original stars from the film that plunges the rider in the film's unreal universe and takes them on a super-charged high-speed trail, including the supposed notion of danger, stunts that are natural to the film franchise.

The ride was inaugurated on Tuesday at a red carpet ribbon cutting ceremony, which was attended by stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson as well as franchise newcomer Jason Statham. The inaugural event also featured Diesel, who cut the ribbon for the attraction, with a stunt car coming out and crashing violently through a billboard subsequently to mark the ride's official opening.

According to Variety, the debut ceremony of the "Fast and Furious Supercharged" also featured "souped-up" cars that entered the lot with their engines roaring.

"Fast and Furious Supercharged" executive producer Chick Russel told Variety, "We were looking to have a grand finale to the studio tour, and we thought, 'What better film series than 'Fast & Furious?'" Russell added, "It almost feels like a thrill ride in the theater."
