'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt' Season 2 News, Spoilers: Bubbly Ellie Kemper No More On Netflix?
After the news about "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" transferring to Netflix for season 2 came out, fans are worried about a change in format.
But in an interview with Variety, Ellie Kemper said that Kimmy will not lose her bubbly personality.
"There are outbursts and flashes of anger that we maybe didn't see in the first season, and that's healthy," she said. "She needs to understand that is okay, it's okay to be mad, you can be mad but you can also retain a sense of hopefulness. I keep saying I think that sort of optimism she has is innate, but it doesn't come naturally. I think it is kind of in her DNA to be hopeful about things, but her greatest asset is probably her strength, which helps her to endure these things."
Of course, Ellie Kemper played spoilers as she quipped that transferring to Netflix doesn't mean fans can expect more nudity for "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" season 2.
In previous spoilers, Cinema Blend reported that Kimmy's stepfather Randy, played by Tim Blake Nelson, won't be returning for the "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" season 2.
"No, I'm not," he replied when asked if he's going to reprise his role. "At least not so far. Are they finished filming? Oh they're done so I'm not in the second season. I loved doing it though."
Meanwhile, TVLine reported that the premiere of season 2 was off to a good start, and kept much of the craziness of the pilot season, as it even predicted an Emmy nomination for Jane Krakowski as Jaqueline Voorhies White.
Watch out for more "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" spoilers which will be revealed when they come along as season 2 rolls out on April 15.
