UFC 189 Aldo vs. McGregor Fight News: 'The Notorious' Wins First Two Rounds of Promotional Tour

The MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas is set to have the richest fight in boxing history on May 2 when Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao finally meet in the center of the ring. The following month, on July 11, they may have the richest fight in UFC history.

The UFC made the second stop of an eight-city, five-country tour in Las Vegas Monday to promote the UFC 189 main event featherweight title fight between champion Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor.

This is an unprecedented promotional tour for a Las Vegas title fight, but unprecedented is a word you can also use to describe the brash Irishman.

"Fear has a strong stench, and he is reeking of it. I see fear. His eyes looked like glass," McGregor said after their intense stare down in the champion's homeland of Brazil.

The typically cool Aldo seemed to have lost his poise for a bit after their face-off. He was caught by UFC's Vlog cameras saying he was mad, and that he couldn't wait to get through McGregor.

"When you sign up to fight me, it's a while different ballgame. It's that simple. It's a while different ballgame. It just swarms people and they start shrinking in their seats. Their eyes start watering. Their bottom lips start quivering. They're fighting McGregor now. Definitely, I feel they crumble every time," 'The Notorious' claimed.

Fight writer Kevin Iole points out that with the strong Brazilian fan base that is expected to make the trip to Las Vegas in July, along with the passionate Irish that watches every McGregor fight, a wild scene can be expected inside the Grand Garden when the two finally meet inside the octagon.

"The Brazilians won't even be heard. The Irish will flock on the fight capital, and everyone who gets off that plane will be ready to fight, not just me. I don't think the beautiful city of Las Vegas knows what it's in for," McGregor boldly stated.
