'Two and a Half Men' Season 12 Final Episode Recap: Series Ends as Charlie Sheen's Character Returns

The popular TV show, "Two and a Half Men' has announced that the upcoming Season 12 will be its finale, according to CBS. CBS made the announcement when the network presented its 2014-2015 schedule.

It's clear that Lorre has wrapped up yet another legendary TV show, along with "How I Met your Mother.' Speaking on the announcement, Executive Producer of CBS, Nina Tassler said, "Chuck Lorre is creating a season-long event. We did very well last year with announcing final season of How I Met Your Mother here, too. Chuck is very psyched about this; he's got some great ideas and very big surprises," according to the Hollywood Reporter.

For a few seasons now, the show's protagonist Charlie Sheen's character has been dead, who has been replaced by Ashton Kutcher. The final season answers the whereabouts of this lost character.

The finale shows that Charlie's widow, Rose had been keeping him in a pit in her basement all the while, until he manages to escape.

The finale reveals that Charlie was alive and coming for them to get revenge.

Speaking on the finale, Lorre said, "I know a lot of you might be disappointed that you didn't get to see Charlie Sheen in tonight's finale. For the record, he was offered a role. Our idea was to have him walk up to the front door in the last scene, ring the doorbell, then turn, look directly into the camera and go off on a maniacal rant about the dangers of drug abuse. He would then explain that these dangers only applied to average people. That he was far from average. He was a ninja warrior from Mars. He was invincible," according to the Toronto Sun.

Lorre, however, is planning on the release of another comedy, according to the announcement made by CBS during the network's pre-upfront press breakfast in New York.

Speaking on which, EP Tassler said, "We know fans and audiences respond to that and that should really give us a nice boost when we launch our new comedy," according to the Hollywood Reporter.
