'Twin Peaks' Rumors: Old Casting Rumored to Return in Reboot
The Reboot of "Twin Peaks" is set to air sometime around 2017. As of now, the production has already reached half of its taping.
According to Seattle Times, there is a huge probability that Sherilyn Fenn, who played Audrey Horne, could return to the series. We still can't confirm it however, especially now that the actress is still included in the latest season of "Shameless." There are also some rumors pertaining to Miguel Ferrer and David Patrick Kelly coming back to reprise their roles as FBI Agent Albert Rosenfield and Jerry Horne, respectively.
What we could call as "fact" as early as now is the involvement of Kyle MacLachlan. He will be reprising his role as Special Agent Dale Cooper.
Also, according to Cinema Blend, Sheryl Lee was seen on the set of the show. The 48-year-old actress played Laura Palmer and also her cousin, Maddy Ferguson, in the original series. Both characters died by the way, so how could she be part of this reboot?
According to Christian Today, the reboot will also include Bailey Chase, Balthazar Getty, Robert Knepper, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Amanda Seyfried.
Showtime CEO David Nevins had already seen about 25 minutes of the series and said that what he viewed was "tremendous."
"No notes... I don't want to sit here and overhype it, but you definitely felt like you were in the hands of a master," he added.
Its still a long time from now but the reboot of "Twin Peaks" will be available on CBS in 2017.
