‘True Detective’ Season 3 Cast Rumors: ‘Beasts Of No Nation’ Actor Idris Elba To Star In The Series?
"Beasts of no Nation" actor Idris Elba has voiced his thoughts on rumors saying that he was going to be part of "True Detective" season 3.
In his interview with The Huffington Post to promote Cary Fukunaga's war drama film "Beasts of no Nation," Elba said that working with director Fukunaga had given him a lot of sort of license to build his character and he was the one of the best directors in the world, aside from being a future star. He added that Fukunaga definitely deserved an Oscar award,
Elba also expressed his willingness to work with Fukunaga again, since they had built a special bond over making "Beasts of no Nation." The actor also hoped that they continue to make films for the rest of their lives.
The "Beasts of no Nation" actor also expressed his interest on playing a role in "True Detective" season 3, though the series is not helmed by Fukunaga. He said ""True Detective" Season 3... I like the way you're thinking.
In other news, "True Detective" season 3 needs to be streamlined, according to Movie Pilot. While season 2 had showcased a blend of peculiarity and brilliance, season 3 needs one director, a broader vision, and pinch of an eye on the competition in the small screen.
At this point, fans believe that Elba's inclusion in "True Detective" would be phenomenal. Should Fukunaga come back as part of the series, it is assumed that there would be a high change of seeing Elba in the series as well.
