'True Detective' Season 2 Spoilers, News: New Trailer Shows Rachel McAdams Practicing her Knife Skills [VIDEO]
The second season of True Detective is on its way, and from the looks of the trailer, it is going to be very intense, and very dark.
The clip is about one minute long, and Rachel McAdams, is seen doing some very impressive work with a knife. Meanwhile, Colin Farrell shows his risque side, while Vince Vaughn plays the bad cop role.
Rachel is the star of the trailer, as she stabs a large wooden block with a knife over and over again.
She looks completely focused while she does it, and this tells viewers that her character will not be one to be reckoned with.
Fans also get a peek at Taylor Kitsch, though it is unclear what exactly he will be bringing to the show.
According to reports from Hollywood Life, Rachel teased fans with information about her role in True Detective in an interview for the June issue of Marie Claire.
"I love the exploration of someone who has such a different background from you," she said, "That exploration runs to compassion and to cracking yourself open and creating more understanding of how weird and amazing life is. I love that she's not the girlfriend or the wife... She doesn't really care what everyone thinks; she feels no responsibility for other people's feelings. She's not trying to be charming, which isn't always the case with a leading lady."
Rachel says that she is pleased to be playing a more realistic character. The second season of True Detective will be premiering on June 21st on HBO.
