Following the super success of the 'True Detective' Season 1, fans of this crime drama television series on HBO are excitedly waiting for its sequel, which, according to reports, will focus on some pretty dark themes.

IB Times reports that 'True Dectective' Season 2 is set in California and its storyline will deal with the lives of three police officers, who are portrayed by Taylor Kitsch, Colin Farrell and Rachel McAdams. In addition, the upcoming series will have an antagonist named Frank Semyon, portrayed by Vince Vaughn.

According to Movie Plot, while show creator Nic Pizzolatto has yet to reveal much detail regarding the 'True Detective' Season 2, he teased that the plot of the upcoming show will be centered on "the secret occult history of the United States transportation system."

The entertainment website further claimed that the story of the popular HBO crime drama will start with the murder case of a crooked politician, whose body was discovered close to the Pacific Coast Highway and it bears satanic symbols on it.

The case will be taken up by Farrell and Kitsch, who portray the characters of the California Highway Patrol officers, and during the course of their investigation, they will become conscious that the victim was a business partner of Semyon.

Based on their findings, the politician was a broker for a big deal, and this could probably solve the issues associated with the state's public transport.

In the meantime, The Hollywood Reporter stated that 'True Detective' Season 2 has hired some porn stars like Amia Miley and Peta Jensen for the show. In fact, the satanic symbol discovered on the dead man's chest as well as hiring of porn stars for the show suggest that the 'True Detective' Season 2 to contain some seriously adult content.
