'True Detective' Season 2 Plot Spoilers, News: HBO Releases Two New Trailers [VIDEO]
Nic Pizzolatto's 'True Detectives' will return to HBO for its second season later this month and the channel has already prepared several new teasers to create hype around the return of the successful crime anthology television drama on small screen.
Christian Today reports that HBO has already released two new teasers and they are both in line with the approach of the trailers released earlier, as none of them offer any major plot detail.
In the first trailer titled 'Chaos,' fans will see the cops at work. It shows Detective Ray Velcoro (Collin Farrell) talking to a group of people, which includes Detective Ani Bezzerides (Rachel McAdams). Velcoro is seen asking, "Just one question, am I supposed to solve this or not?"
Fans can also see the former criminal Frank Semyon (Vince Vaughn) in the trailer. He is seen talking to Velcoro and giving the latter some instructions. Elsewhere in the trailer, California Highway Patrol Officer Paul Woodrugh (Taylor Kitsch) is seen cruising across the highway.
Before the teaser ends, Bezzerides is seen talking to Velcoro. He says, "How compromised are you?" Responding to it, Detective Velcoro remarks, "I welcome judgement."
From what is seen in the trailer, the report says Farrell's Velcoro will feature in a time jump or maybe even a flashback, as his prominent mustache in the series is absent in one of the scenes.
The second trailer released by HBO is titled 'Stand,' which does not feature any dialogue. However, this does not suggest that the second trailer is s not as action-packed as 'Chaos.'
While the network channel has not shared much information regarding the plot of 'True Detective' Season 2 so far, spoilers suggest that the cops will concentrate on what was believed to be a transportation deal that connects the Northern and Southern California highways. However, it was a disputed deal owing to the murder of a fraudulent city manager. The detectives will also probe into the mysterious disappearance of a girl.
While 'True Detective' Season 1 was filmed at Fort Macomb outside New Orleans, the upcoming season of the show has been shot in the more obscure areas close to Los Angeles with a view to display the darker environment of the series.
'True Detective' Season 2 will premiere on HBO on June 21.
