'True Detective' Season 2 Cast, Release Date News: Series Returns in the Summer of 2015

More exciting news is coming out for the fans of the hit drama series, 'True Detective'. Recently, news came out saying that the famous TV show is on its way back to air its second season this summer.

Reports have been confirmed, several Hollywood actors are coming back and some new ones are joining them to make the second season even more explosive than the first. While several are speculating that it is impossible for the second season to outweigh the first, some reports however already released the cast and it is big.

Collin Farrell, Vince Vaughn, Rachel McAdams and Taylor Kitsch are just a few big-named celebrities in the upcoming second season. The story is reportedly coming from the death of the city manager of a fictional California city, Ben Caspar.

From then, dark revelations will be unveiled and several artists will help season two give more drama. The latest addition to the gang is comedian Vaughn. Will others think that he may not live up to a dark role, which is a career criminal named Frank Seymon, others however believe that Vaughn may finally unleash his inner dark side.

It is a fresh new story with fresh directors. Previously, the first season reportedly only had one director, and now, the show, wanting to make it a little different this time will be hiring multiple directors for each show.

Meanwhile, here are the list of characters reportedly included in the season two of True Detective Michael Irby as Elvis; Leven Rambin as Sophia; Abigail Spencer as Alicia; Lolita Davidovich as Nancy Simpson; James Frain as Jeff Hunt; Riley Smith as Steve Mercier; Adria Arjona as Emily; Michael Hyatt as Katherine Davis; Yara Martinez as Andrea; Christian Campbell as Richard Brune; Jon Lindstrom as Glenn Ellinger; Emily Rios as Gabby Behenna; Ronnie Gene Blevins; Timothy V. Murphy as Osip Agranov; C.S. Lee as Richard Geldof; Chris Kerson as Nails; Rick Springfield and Ashley Hinshaw will play as-yet-unnamed characters.

There is no official release date for the series but it is likely that the show will be premiered this summer, reports speculate as it already started shooting last November 2014.
