'True Detective' Season 2 Cast News: Two New Recurring Roles Confirmed
HBO's critically acclaimed hit drama, 'True Detective' has reportedly cast two more roles in its upcoming second season. Apparently, Lolita Davidovich and James Frain will be playing recurring roles in the show's new season.
The show is coming back with so much power as it is reportedly taking in several actors from different successful TV drama series. News agencies are projecting a good Season 2 for the show since putting many talented stars all together will likely lead to some high viewership.
It has been reported that the two new cast members, Davidovich and Frain will play recurring roles throughout the season. Davidovich will be playing Taylor Kitsch's mother named Nancy Simpson and Frain will be playing the role of Jeff Hunt.
Davidovich who will also be in Fox's midseason drama 'Backstrom' plays the character of a former show girl in 'True Detective'. She is reportedly mourning the loss of male sexual attention and is always hitting cigarettes and alcohol. But despite that, her character remains filled with love as she has someone to give it away to, which is her son.
The 'Intruders' star, Frain, who also played a role in 'True Blood', will be playing a powerful role this time in 'True Detective' as he will reportedly be playing a ruthless police lieutenant.
The show will also have in Collin Farrel, Vince Vaughn, Taylor Kitsch, and rumor has it that a third role may be given to Rachel McAdams who, if given the role, will be playing a detective.
On that note, Season 2 of 'True Detective' is said to be about three police officers and a criminal caught in a web of conspiracy as they try to solve a murder.
