'Transformers 5' Release Date, Cast News: Mark Wahlberg to Reprise Role in Upcoming 2016 Installment
"Transformers 5' is set to release in 2016, with Mark Wahlberg reprising his role from the previous franchise edition, "Transformers 4: Age of Extinction.'
Speaking to MTV, Wahlberg has said that he is committed to doing a couple more movies with the franchise. While Wahlberg seems intent on doing the next edition of the movie, there are rumors that Megan Fox, who has also acted in the previous editions, is all set to act in the upcoming film.
According to Crossmap, Fox has reportedly expressed her desire to reprise her role in the movie. This may soon be a reality since the franchise director Michael Bay will no longer be directing the fifth movie. Fox was done away with after the third movie since there was bad blood between Bay and her.
In other news, there are reports that Optimus Prime may not be seen in this edition, after leaving for "Age of Extinction.' According to Movie Pilot, the fifth edition might feature Autobots' descendants, Maximals vs. the Decepticons' descendants and Predacons.
While other reports suggest that Optimus Prime will be playing a bigger role with bigger missions at hand.
Coming to the plot of the movie, rumors suggest that the movie will be based Optimus Prime's mission to search the outer space to find his creators, according to Master Herald.
If that is one theory for the plot, others suggest that the script could be based on on the Galvatrons and Dinobots. While some others suggest that the movie maybe based on the new line of Transformers toy released by Hasbro.
