'Transformers 5' Movie Spoilers: Crossover With ‘G.I. Joe’ is Possible

If the increasing number of reports affirming the possible fusion between 'Transformers 5' and 'G.I. Joe' are any indication, a crossover between the two films seem very likely.

Citing a report in Enstarz, Christian Today reports that the combination of the two toy franchises may actually be in development, as the people responsible for the success of the hit action film have already started working on numerous sequels and prequels. Apparently the production team is determined on "pushing the envelope" and exploring "all kinds of possibilities" to make a movie that will impress both the audience and the critics - something that a crossover with Dwayne Johnson's blockbuster can accomplish.

In the meantime, some reports have suggested that veteran actor Bruce Willis may also join 'Transformers 5.' A report in Cinema Blend claimed that Johnson and Willis may possibly be joined by Optimus Prime and his crew in their battle against the Decepticons. In February, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura rejected such a possibility, saying that currently the idea was "not a realistic proposition."

Bonaventura then said, "I don't think it's in the near future at all. It's not something we talk about either. There's a lot more story to be told in both cases. And I think if at some moment we think, 'You know what? It's time to bring the two of them together, we'll do that. But I think they're strong enough to exist on their own."

Mark Wahlberg has already affirmed that he is preparing to return to 'Transformers 5' as well as "a couple more" sequels, while latest rumors suggest that Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox may possibly be returning to the franchise. Classicalite reported that Fox is eager to return to the 'Transformers' franchise provided Shia was also okay with the comeback.

Meanwhile, LaBeouf said that he was not certain if Fox will be able to reprise her role, as her character was already canceled in the third film of the franchise. He added that while he will be starring in another Michael Bay film, it would certainly not be 'Transformers.'

According to LaBeouf, "It would be good to do another film but I doubt with the new changes since the third film that Megan could return you know, it might be a love war if I or Rosie both return you know its not that I don't think about it. But no, I highly doubt I'll be back for another one."

'Transformers 5' is set for release in July 2017.
