'Transformers 5' Latest News: Mark Wahlberg, Megan Fox and Michael Bay Team Up For New Movie?
Paramount Pictures is currently engaged in a shared cinematic universe of the studio's 'Transformers' franchise, which will set in motion with 'Transformers 5.' The upcoming installment of the sci-fi movie franchise will not only see actor Mark Wahlberg in the role of Cade Yeager, but may also see Michael Bay returning as director along with actress Megan Fox, who featured in the second installment of the franchise.
According to Christian Today, currently Bay is busy with his Benghazi war drama film titled '13 Hours.' However, speculations are rife that Paramount Pictures is willing to wait for the director's schedule to free up so that he can return at the help of the fifth 'Transformers' project and not hire someone else.
Meanwhile a report in Collider quoted Wahlberg stating that he firmly believes Bay would return to direct the film. In any case, all of the previous 'Transformers' films have been massive financial successes, in spite of the fact that most of these films gained very low critical as well as fan reviews.
Another report in the Gospel Herald says that Fox might be returning to the franchise after being left out in the last two films. It is reported that Fox and Bay exchanged a few harsh words following the release of 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,' to the extent where Fox reportedly compared Bay to World War II dictator Adolf Hitler. At this point, executive Producer Steven Spielberg intervened and took Fox off the franchise.
After that ugly incident, Fox and Bay were able to give up their respective arguments and make peace, and many now speculate that this is the reason why Bay had cast Fox as April O'Neil in the 2014 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.' As of now, the two are back to being good friends, and Gospel Herald reports that Bay may possibly bring the actress along for 'Transformers 5.'
As of now, 'Transformers 5' does not have any specific release date, but it is slated for 2017.
